Sexing Technologies® has added another Mobile Sorting Lab with production of gender-sorted semen in Europe and that is currently in operation in Borgarnes, Iceland. This self-contained Mobile Sorting Lab is self-sufficient as it only needs power and is equipped with a built-in generator for power outage. This service, which began in November, is in high demand.
“This Mobile Sorting Lab is poised to meet the needs of our clients who prefer having the lab onsite, like smaller studs and those in seasonal regions,” says Oscar Moreno Manager Production, Sexing Technologies® Europe. “The lab is currently gender sorting beef and dairy breeds, including Holsteins, Angus and Fleckvieh.”

These mobile labs are fully equipped with Sexing Technologies®’s most advanced sorting machines with six sorting heads. This allows Sexing Technologies® to conveniently meet seasonal and market needs while providing gender sorting services to geographically widespread small breeders, livestock development boards and other farmers who prefer to save shipping costs on gender-sorted product.

Sexing Technologies® launched its first state-of-the-art gender- sorting laboratory mobile lab in India in 2018, followed by two more laboratories within two years. This new Mobile Sorting Lab is another advancement in providing Ultraplus™ gender-sorted semen to all breeders and farmers regardless of geographic location and size.
With 56 owned and licensed labs in 20 countries, Sexing Technologies® is the pioneer in gender-sorted dairy and beef semen and provides over 80% of all gender-sorted semen around the globe. With these resources, Sexing Technologies® strives to serve and assist farmers in achieving all aspects of their genetic goals while bringing profitability and sustainability to the dairy and beef industries.
