STgenetics® is saddened to share the passing of Mr Mogul DELTA 1427-ET. DELTA was a cornerstone sire for STgenetics®, a bull to truly laid the foundation for our genetic offering.
“DELTA came at a time when people were looking for consistent results and he created that in his daughters, from 1st lactation to 4th, they were modern framed, great udders and athletic feet and legs.” States Tim Rauen of GenoSource when reflecting on DELTA’s life. He continues by saying, “As the breeder of DELTA, we could not be prouder of what he has accomplished for the Holstein Breed, he re-imagined the modern Holstein cow and created a high standard not many others have been able to reach.”
DELTA was an exciting bull from the beginning, he paved the way for STgenetics® gender-sorting technology being one of the first bulls of the industry to be released in only female gender-sorted semen. This offering proved to be profitable and sustainable to dairy farmers around the world and soon after became an industry standard.
